Hi There… Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and are finding the fun side of all this snow and cold weather (maybe not).  Since we now have your attention, we wanted to take a moment to tell you about a few changes that have happened to the team.

First, we would like to formally introduce our newest staffer. We’re pretty sure you’ve met her at least once over the last few months but if you haven’t, meet Reem!  Reem is our new, full time, Client Care Representative and we are pretty excited about her being here! She has worked at a couple of other clinics over the last few years, one of which was the VEC (Veterinary Emergency Clinic)downtown.  This means Reem comes with a whole lot of knowledge and experience. She jumped right in with both feet and went to task at learning the ins and outs of WAC.  We hope that you enjoy your time with her as much as we have so far!

Although Elizabeth (Liz) has been with us for some time now, we’ve not introduced you to her yet.  We thought this would be the prefect timing.  Up until recently, Liz has been our occasional/weekend vet assistant, and even spent some time with us as a co-op student.  Now that she has finished high school, she has begun to work a little more frequently and has been stepping out of the shadows of “the back” to help out more up front.  Although quiet and shy, she is our on site “animal whisperer”, and one of the best people we have when it comes to handling your pets.

On a bit of a bittersweet note, we wanted to wish a fond farewell to the wacky Brit whom we (us and you) have all come to love. Our dear friend Amanda, has decided to return to school to pursue a career in human nursing.  Why she would want to leave the fuzzy, wet nosed friendly critters that we treat every  day is a bit of a mystery to us, nonetheless, we will miss her immensely.  We wish her all the very best for a bright and happy future, we know she will be amazing at anything she does!

Finally, we have also recently learned that Agnes has decided not to return to work once her mat leave is over.  Her sweet disposition and kind heart will be noticeably absent!  We fear not for your pets well being though, as we are happy to add Beth to our crew as a permanent member. She has brought a wealth of knowledge to our team and we couldn’t be more grateful for her experiences as an RVT.

Help us in offering a wonderful welcome and a fond farewell to those that have come and gone from our practice.  We all look forward to making 2018 a year to remember.
